Candiace Dillard-Bassett isn’t buying that Robyn Dixon never read the DMs Juan Dixon sent to another woman.
While appearing on Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, the Real Housewives of Potomac cast member, who is currently starring on the third season of Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip, weighed on the scandal, as well as Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby‘s knowledge, as she also discussed her friendship with Porsha Williams.
After confirming her past issues with Porsha stemmed from Porsha’s friendship with her former co-star and nemesis, Monique Samuels, on the April 16 episode of WWHL, Candiace confirmed how she and Porsha overcame the issue.
“We didn’t really have big issues. That was our big issue,” Candiace explained. “We talked about it. We kind of got over it and beyond that, I’m a vibes person and Porsha’s a fun vibe.”
Candiace and Porsha got to such a good place with one another that Candiace was invited to Porsha’s wedding to Simon Guobadia — but not the one attended by Monique.
“[Monique] was at the Nigerian wedding. I attended the American wedding and Porsha told me she was gonna do that so that we could be comfortable, which I appreciated,” she revealed.
When Andy Cohen then brought up Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Jen Shah, noting that she was planning on orchestrating a Real Housewives play in prison, Candiace said she should “just be in jail” before Andy threw shade.
“By the way that may be some copyright infringement,” he noted, before adding, “I am kidding. I am kidding.”
Candiace is also keeping up with the drama of Vanderpump Rules, which most recently involved Tom Sandoval cheating on longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix with their co-star and friend Raquel Leviss.
“I was losing it,” Candiace said of the moment she found out. “[Bravo] did like a [look back] on I guess like the main episodes to watch, and I sat, I was in a hotel. I was supposed to be working. I was in bed all day eating like, avocado toast and just like drooling and WTFing. It’s insane.”
According to Candiace, she believes that after nearly “10 years in,” Sandoval should be “going to jail.”
At that point, Andy addressed the upcoming episodes of Pump Rules as well as the reunion.
“The reunion airs in May at some point. The season is so good it’s worth it. Trust me. You won’t want the reunion because the season’s so good,” he teased.
Reading a question from a fan, Andy asked Candiace what happened to Gizelle’s tequila bottle in Thailand. And while Candiace didn’t want to “spoil” the reveal, she admitted to thinking Gizelle was simply being messy.
“I honestly thought that we had wonderful house staff in Thailand, they were always cleaning, they were always moving stuff, I thought maybe it got broken and they threw it out or that they thought it was empty and they threw it out. Honestly, that’s what I thought — or that she hid it in her room to create fake mess,” Candiace shared.
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Candiace was asked for her thoughts on Juan’s outing with another woman at the laundromat.
“It’s the same woman that he was in the laundromat with. She was the coach for the team. It’s that same woman. But I haven’t spoken to her,” Candiace confirmed. “So sad. I don’t understand because, at this point, you’re trolling us now. Now you know we’re talking. So they were… The team was in Norfolk for a game and they were washing uniforms. This is what I heard. But why you going with the ho to the laundromat? Go by yourself. Send the assistant. Why is the head coach washing uniforms?”
Back on the live broadcast, Candiace also discussed Juan’s cheating scandal, saying she was “flabbergasted” when she learned Gizelle and Ashley Darby knew of his communication with another woman but chose to keep it a secret as they targeted Chris in season seven.
“I wanted to eat my shoe,” she admitted. “I was so, I was like flabbergasted and I felt bamboozled … I felt like, ‘How can you all carry this fake story about Chris across the United States and back when you know that there is a real scandal afoot in Potomac?’ Talk about the scandal.”
Then, when asked about Robyn claiming she hadn’t read the DMs between Juan and the other woman, Candiace replied, “She’s lying.”
As for her own marriage, Candiace said that despite having the “biggest” fight with Chris before taking off to Thailand to film RHUGT, they are “fine.”
“Married people fight. You figure it out. We’re fine,” she stated. “It was bad because I left right after the fight. We couldn’t argue it out.”
New episodes of Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip season three begin streaming every Thursday on Peacock.
