Kelly Dodd appeared on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday night after the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, and during the appearance, host Andy Cohen confronted her about the many reckless social media posts she has made over the past several months.

In addition to asking her about her claim that COVID-19 may be “God’s way of thinning the herd,” her “Drunk Wives Matter” hat, and her mother’s recent visit to the ICU, Andy called out Kelly for failing to think before she posts.

“Does Kelly have any remorse for her ‘God thinning the herd’ comment about all the people who have been affected and lost people due to COVID?” Andy asked as he read a question from a fan.

“Of course I regret saying that,” Kelly replied on the December 2 episode. “At the time, it was a question. Like, ‘Why are all these people dying?’ It was a stupid thing for me to say. It was insensitive and I apologize if I hurt or offended anybody because that wasn’t my intention. It was the stupidest thing I’ve ever said.”

Another stupid thing Kelly said was that no one was dying of the virus in Orange County, which was completely false.

“I was misinformed. This was back in January when this happened,” Kelly admitted of comments she made in May.

“I hate it [wearing a mask]. I’m claustrophobic. I can’t stand wearing a mask,” she continued. “[But] now I understand the science behind it and I’m ready, willing, and able to wear a mask and I know it’s important because I don’t want to get sick and I don’t want to get others sick. I’m a human being. I make mistakes.”

In October, amid backlash over her COVID-19 comments, the RHOC star was faced with another scandal after she was seen wearing a “Drunk Wives Matter” hat during her bridal shower.

“The ‘Drunk Wives Matter’ hat was given to me. My girlfriend gave it to me. She’s had it for a couple of years. That hat was two years old. She thought it was a play on words,” Kelly explained. “I didn’t buy the hat. I didn’t go out and sport the hat. I believe in equality [and] I believe in Black Lives Matter.”

At the end of last month, Kelly made headlines after her mother was hospitalized with COVID-19 and later placed in the ICU. A short time later, the family received backlash after she and Kelly’s brother, Eric Meza, turned up at a restaurant just days after her diagnosis was shared.

While fans online certainly tied Bobbi Meza‘s apparent negligence to Kelly’s past comments and behavior, Kelly told Andy on WWHL that she and her mom aren’t on the best of terms.

“My mom and I are estranged right now. I found out that she had COVID [and was in the] ICU through Instagram,” she revealed. “My brother put that out there. He couldn’t even call me or my [older] brother to tell us my mom was in the ICU with COVID. I ended up talking to her [on] Thanksgiving and she’s doing fine. She’s at home.”

After confronting Kelly about the many scandals she has faced, Andy gave Kelly some stern advice.

“You’ve had such a bad run on social media. I get tweets and DMs saying, ‘You’ve got to control her. You have got to stop her.’ At some point, it seems like you need to think before you post,” he stated.

“I’ve learned from my mistakes. I’m a human being. Everybody has said and done things in their lives that they regret and I regret these things,” Kelly replied.

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 15 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
