John Blizzard is revealing new details about the Puppy Gate scandal of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season nine.

Years after the drama surrounding Dorit Kemsley and her former dog, Lucy Lucy Apple Juicy, resulted in the end of Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards‘ friendship, Blizzard looked back on his text messages with Teddi Mellencamp and revealed who he believes was truly responsible for the scandal.

“Regardless if I had told Teddi, via text, she was going to find out,” Blizzard explained on the Behind the Velvet Rope With David Yontef podcast. “Our adoption coordinator was dating her brother [and] a week into filming, Dorit’s dog is not there. Everyone’s going to be like, ‘Where’s the dog?’”

During RHOBH season nine, it was revealed that the dog Dorit adopted from Vanderpump Dogs, where Blizzard works, had been discovered at a kill shelter. And a short time later, Teddi claimed she was encouraged to bring up the topic on camera by Blizzard, who was allegedly instructed to do so by Lisa herself.

Meanwhile, Blizzard claimed to be “blindsided” when Teddi accused him of doing so.

“We were all blindsided. Lisa called me, like, ‘Were you texting Teddi?’ She was like, ‘[Teddi] showed me a screenshot where you said that I told you to tell you.’ I was like, ‘No, I have it right here, and she just cropped it. I never said that,’” he recalled, accusing Teddi of fabricating the text messages she exposed.

Blizzard went on to say that while he did speak about Dorit’s dog to Teddi, it wasn’t Lisa who prompted him to talk about it. Instead, he alleges it was John Sessa who was responsible.

“[John Sessa] told me three times to text Teddi. He wanted it out there. He wanted to take Dorit down [and] he used my friendship with Teddi to create a whole storyline,” Blizzard alleged. “He didn’t want to give Dorit a free pass because it was the first time a dog had ever been dropped off at a kill shelter, and for somebody that was supposed to be Lisa’s best friend, to drop it off, it just wasn’t okay.”

According to Blizzard, Lisa, who quit RHOBH in June 2019 after Kyle accused her of lying about “Puppy Gate,” is well-aware of Sessa’s part in the “Puppy Gate” scandal and actually engaged in a “huge blowup” with the two of them off-camera in regard to the matter.

“[Lisa] was really pissed at John because she didn’t want it brought up,” Blizzard explained, noting that production may have captured audio of the conversation.

”We were like, ‘Dorit is a horrible person for doing this. Your friend is awful. Why are you doing this? Why are you protecting her?’ At the end of the day, if Dorit would have been a good person and returned the dog to us like she was supposed to, none of this would have happened,” Blizzard noted.

In addition to slamming Dorit as a “horrible person,” Blizzard revealed she still owes Vanderpump Dogs a $5,000 fee for breaking her contract and failing to return the dog to their facility.

Blizzard also suggested Dorit may have used the dog for a storyline.

“I think it’s weird that [she] had this dog for nine months, and then you just get rid of it the first week [of filming]. It’s weird,” he pointed out.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 11 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
