After a seriously low-rated 13th season of The Real Housewives of New York City, followed by the recent cancellation of the reunion, Bethenny Frankel is reportedly in talks with Bravo in regard to a potential return.

Although Bethenny, 50, has denied rumors in the past that suggested she could come back to the show following her second exit in August 2019, she has allegedly had a change of heart about the idea of a return — as long as Bravo agrees to meet her “bold demands.”

“Everyone agrees there were too many boring storylines this season,” an insider told Life & Style magazine for their latest issue. “The show needs a major boost, and Bethenny is still their MVP.”

While Bethenny recently joked that she would only agree to return to the RHONY cast if Bravo presented her with “a Brink’s truck full of cash,” the source suggested that her comment wasn’t too far from the truth.

“Bethenny’s making some bold demands,” they alleged, claiming the Skinnygirl mogul has been lobbying for a multimillion-dollar paycheck and an executive producer credit from the network.

As for how Andy Cohen, 53, feels about her supposed demands, the insider went on to say that while he isn’t happy to hear that Bethenny is reportedly requesting so much, she may be just what the show needs to make a triumphant comeback with season 14.

“[Andy Cohen]’s not thrilled about the situation, but the bottom line is: Bravo needs Bethenny more than she needs them,” the source shared.

Just last month, as fans called for her to return, Bethenny explained why the series likely saw a major ratings drop amid its 13th season.

“What’s your opinion on why [RHONY] is so bad this season?” someone asked Bethenny on Twitter.

“I haven’t been watching (no shade at all-I’m just disconnected) but, knowing nothing but what you all message me, teams can’t hit home runs every game,” she replied.

Then, after another person said that it was time for her to “strap up the cleats and bat,” giving a nod to her potential future return, Bethenny suggested she is unable to help the struggling series.

“Lol this is not about me,” Bethenny explained. “Teams sometimes have sh-tty seasons…sometimes it’s the players, sometimes it’s the coaching or a combination.”
