Craig Conover didn’t talk to Austen Kroll for nearly two months after the latest episode of Summer House was filmed.
While appearing on Monday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live alongside girlfriend Paige DeSorbo, Craig looked back on his temporary estrangement from his friend and Southern Charm co-star, admitting that learning Austen had slammed a door in Paige’s face amid an argument led to major issues between them.
“I actually got a phone call that night and Austen, and I didn’t talk for almost two months after that happened. It had waves way outside of that house,” Craig admitted on the March 21 episode of WWHL.
In addition to his drama with Austen, Craig also experienced tension with Lindsay Hubbard after she disclosed his past relationship with Kristin Cavallari to Paige — and proceeded to slam him as narcissistic and arrogant on WWHL.
“To each their own. I can’t get too hung up on what people say or I would go crazy,” Craig said in response to the diss. “I can tell you we used to be friends, and over the past few years, we’ve kind of withered apart, but I wish everyone the best.“
As for whether or not he would have told Paige himself, Craig said that he would have come clean if she asked.
“But we had a Don’t Ask Policy at that point. We didn’t want to know what she was doing in New York or what I was doing in Charleston,” he explained as Paige suggested her “secrets from that summer” remained unshared.
“Don’t ask questions you don’t want answers to,” Craig added.
Craig went on to reveal that Kristin wasn’t thrilled with being mentioned on Summer House.
“I don’t think she was happy that she was brought into that, but it is what it is,” he said.
And regardless of what did or didn’t happen between them, Paige said she “still [wears] all her jewelry.”
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Craig teased Southern Charm season eight.
“It’s really, really good. The stuff that happens… This is, when people think Southern Charm, this is the season. It’s going to be a long season. There’s stuff that happens that you just can’t make up,” he shared.
And when it comes to Naomie’s return, Craig said he was happy to have her back on the show — once she apologized for her past behavior.
“I was actually a big proponent of it. She came clean about everything. She apologized to everyone that she needed to. She said everything that everyone’s always wanted her to say to me, and great, she said she was sorry. She was honest about it,” he explained. “It brings it all home, and I think people are really going to enjoy this season.”
Also coming soon is a new season of Winter House, which Craig and Paige recently filmed together.
“It was a lot of fun. This was the longest we’d been together. We’ve been together now for like a straight month,” Paige noted.
“That was the longest, and fortunately, it brought us closer. It was a good project, and it was wild, but we survived,” Craig revealed, adding that fans will learn more about his drama with Lindsay when the show premieres.
Also on WWHL, Craig confirmed he’s congratulated Madison LeCroy on her engagement to boyfriend Brett Randle.
“Yeah, Madison and I are in a really good place, actually,” he stated.
