Scheana Shay appeared on Lala Kent‘s podcast, where she opened up about the upcoming episodes of Vanderpump Rules season 10.
Before sharing how Lala Kent upset her during an appearance on Katie Maloney‘s podcast and revealing she’s “terrified” of getting pregnant, Scheana discussed her best and worst moments on the new season as she and Lala admitted to feeling misunderstood by their non-parent co-stars.
“The best was definitely our trip in Mexico,” Scheana shared on the January 3 episode of Give Them Lala. “[My] wedding was the best thing. I mean, seeing my daughter as my little flower girl and walking down the aisle to a f-cking rainbow… It was the best. I‘m so excited to watch [it] back.”
As for her worst moment, that was having to navigate between Lala and Raquel Leviss, who were at odds amid production, presumably due to Raquel’s alleged hookup with Katie’s then-estranged, now-ex-husband Tom Schwartz in summer 2022.
“It was hard obviously with you and Raquel not getting along, because these are two of my best friends. [It’s] always hard when I’m in that position, in the middle,” Scheana noted. “I think that was probably the most difficult thing for me but … you’re never going to make me choose and [Raquel] wouldn’t.”
According to Scheana, she always experiences anxiety before filming new seasons. But, now that season 10 has wrapped production, she’s “excited for it to air,” especially since she believes she lived her truth and spoke her mind more than she has during the past seasons.
“I didn’t want just to give in and kiss a– like I normally do,” she declared. “I’m done apologizing if I’m not sorry.”
Looking back on season nine, Scheana said she watched herself repeatedly apologize to Charli Burnett before realizing she doesn’t “need to keep trying that hard.”
“I definitely sensed that from you this season,” Lala replied, noting that while they had their moments, they were able to work through the issues that arose between them due to their common ground of parenthood (Scheana shares 1-year-old Summer Moon with her husband, Brock Davies and Lala shares 1-year-old Ocean with her ex-fiancé Randall Emmett).
“Certain people in our group don’t understand when our priorities are things they don’t have as theirs. It’s no offense to anyone who doesn’t have a kid, but it’s just like, ’This bullsh-t fight that we’re talking about is so petty and so unimportant.’ There’s just things that don’t matter,” Scheana explained as Lala admitted to wanting to “blackout and choke” one of their male co-stars who shaded her for bringing up how she’s a mom even “when it has nothing to do with the conversation.”
“I’m like, ‘Every single thing I do, it has to do with being a parent. You’ll never get it unless you’re a parent so back the f-ck off,’” Lala recalled.
Then, when Scheana brought up that she was left out of a girls’ trip taken by certain cast members amid Pump Rules season 10, saying that in the past, she would’ve begged to be included, Lala suggested it was for the best.
“It was probably a good thing you weren’t invited. Because I was so on 10 that trip that had you made one wrong move, I think we would’ve blown up the progress we had made. Just cuz I was… I was out for f-cking blood,” she confessed.
“When I heard how that trip went, I was like, ‘Thank God I wasn’t there,’” Scheana agreed.
Although Scheana and Lala both acknowledged that they’ve come a long way since their days of feuding, Scheana said she did find herself peeved by something Lala said on Katie’s show.
“There was something you said on Katie’s that I was like, ‘Well you know what Lala? Don’t be that person, and I wouldn’t have had to open my mouth.’ … You said that you didn’t like how I told you to stack your bin,” Scheana revealed of a moment between herself and Lala at an airport.
“You got upset at me cuz I didn’t stack my bins,” Lala responded. “[But] I didn’t feel like it was that deep.”
Moving on, Scheana admitted to being fearful of a future pregnancy after experiencing complications amid her daughter’s delivery in April 2021, confirming she’s currently using a contraceptive.
“I’m terrified of getting pregnant again. [But] my doctor has assured me my IUD is placed perfectly,” she stated. “There’s a 99.9% chance I’m not going to get pregnant.”
Also, on the episode, Lala revealed she was recently at a party, where she met a fighter she found to be “extremely sexy.”
“If he gets into a fight, it automatically is assault with a deadly weapon … That is very crazy and extremely sexy to me,” she admitted, refusing to reveal his identity.
Vanderpump Rules season 10 premieres on Wednesday, February 8, as Lala confirmed on her podcast.
