The 6’4″ Lexington, South Carolina native is also an amputee having lost one of this legs during a tragic accident. The loss of his leg in addition to his obesity made getting around additionally difficult for LB as he complained about knee and back pain. The 29-year-old has struggled with his weight all his life having tipped the scales at 150 lbs at the age of 8, and 200 lbs by the age of 12. Read more

Similar to most participants of the show, Karina’s weight loss struggles began during her childhood as she revealed she turned to food due to not getting enough attention and affection from her parents. She weighed over 100 pounds by the age of 10. Even worse, she also suffered from health issues including a severe case of asthma. This led to Karina turning to emotional eating. Read more

Liz, a 35-year-old from Freeport, TX, was one of the more severe cases this season as she weighed in at 721 pounds. Even more, Liz was immobile and bed-bound due to her extra weight and lymphedema growths on her legs.
